Congrats to WA1Z, W1FJ, W1UJ, W1UE, K1ZZI, W7WHY, K0DXC, VA7ST and any other
Personal Best Night NS'ers. Awesome 70 Q's, Mr. Kid !!!

I join the N1LN camp tonight licking-my-NS-wounds with a personal worst. 3
hours of sleep last night necessitated a nap before the NS. I set 2 alarms for
0200UTC but slept through one and went into panic mode when I didn't hear the
other alarm until 0220UTC. All the equipment worked fine here, but even with
chocolate and diet soda being injested, the operator was out-to-lunch and mucho
typos. Sometimes, when there were 3 to 5 stations calling almost zero beat at
the same signal strength, I went into deer-in-the-headlights mode.

Tonight I heard more mega-multiple jump ball situations than ever in the NS(L).
Lost most of them. Propagation was weird for me on 20m, and never heard WD0T
very loud (normally Todd has a monster signal), and couldn't connect. OTOH,
the Mighty K1TN SuperStation signal was the loudest ever heard here :^)
Couldn't figure out why Kirk/N0KK was so weak here tonight on 20m until I read
about his 1 watt ordeal. Ooops.

Sounds like K0TG (and some of the rest of us) need to take Lamaz classes. The
latter part of a definition of Lamaz I read seems very appropriate:
characteristic breathing exercises for relaxation and pain control. Maybe our
NS-MEISTER can launch an online NS LAMAZ Webinar :^) :^) :^)

Nice to hear and work Andy/N2NT tonight, but completely amazed at the number of
NS O.T. Regulars that I missed and didn't even hear. Looks like the reason I
never heard or worked Gary/W5ZL is 'cuz he was busy giving N3BB all those
multiple Q's {GRIN}.

The NS can be not only mega-thrilling, but ultra-humbling as well {SIGH}.

73 & CU in the NAQP...

Rick, K6VVA * The Locust
