FUN FUN FUN !! ! Went up to the K7RI super station on the hill tonite. No
comparison to last week, 20 stayed open, but only into midwest and texas areas.
so mults way down from last week.
went to 40 after 18 minutes, and with Tom's 40m beam, it was much easier
working guys than at home w/ sloper. however CQing didnt produce. i would guess
that 85% of my Qs were from calling someone, then only about half the time
getting a doublet from the Q. VE4XT a nice surprise...tnx Kelly ! and nice to
hear K6RB again.
80 meters produced a nice surprise with K6NV in the log for CA, a mult which
all summer long has been tough. Then a call from Bud VA7ST and a quick local Q
w/ Burt made it 3 for 3 in 2 minutes... Great ! Nice to finally get the kid
into the log on 20 as well as QRP sig from KE0G ! cool !
