Comments:
Really enjoyed the sporadic E openings to the west on 15m, 10 and 6m. Too bad
more people didn't leave the safety of 20m. Some highlights included
- work VE6RAC on all bands from 80-6.
- Working my first VE5 on 15m
- VE5 is normally tough on 20m, today most signals were 10-30over S9, amazing
- Worked the whole contest barefoot.
Friday night conditions on 40 and 80 were poor, high QRN and static crashes.
Obviously 10 m was open to the east VE3/VE2 as I heard numerous US stations
working them, but the skip was only north - south.
Great to see so many familiar calls.
It is too bad this was a mid week contest as the last several hours it was a
wasteland trying to find new calls to work. Pulled the plug 3 hours before the
end to go enjoy the local Canada Day festivities.
Again thanks to all for their patience and the Q's.
Hope everyone enjoys their summer.
