* 40M SteppIR dipole @ 27'
Just 5 hours in bits and pieces through the weekend. Had blustery wx so kept
the tower cranked down to 27'. Ran mostly 100w, but had the amp handy for Qs
that needed more.
Must have slept through the early morning Asian openings on 40M, as there were
few stations heard on that band here.
20M was hot to UA9/0 on Friday evening, and good to JA on Saturday. Conditions
deteriorated Saturday and Sunday with A rising to 5, though I managed more 20M
Qs than previous years.
15M offered nothing up here -- heard CA stations working JAs but couldn't hear
a peep from across the Pacific this far north.
Down 2,000 points from last year, due to fewer mults and Qs on 40M. Spent much
of Saturday rearranging the twin half-square array, aiming at US and JA, but it
didn't do much more than the perilously low rotary dipole on Sunday.
Once again, thank goodness for JARL's eLogMaker.

I see that this was the first contest under VA7ST back in 2003. A fun 6
years... considering there have been about three sunspots since then :)
