Comments:
Love the no-dupe format. I was able to get through from a mobile on a ridge top
in southern West Virginia. Amazing how strong the signals were on 40 meters
compared with Austin. W5ZL, K5DU and K5NZ were very loud on 20 meters. N9NB was
quite good from his mobile. NO5W was a bit weaker from Chuck's mobile in LA.
W5JAW was a notch below ZL, DU, and NZ on 20.
Copying a Locust-like special challenge, K5DU and N9NB both win a "CTDXCCer
support adult beverage of their choice" by working the booga-booga mobile on
both my bands.
The set up was 100 Watts with an FT-857D and matching ATAS 120 screwdriver
antenna on the rear trunk deck of a sedan.
A blast, as usual. Tnx to the NCCC and the 3830 support.
