Comments:
Well, I was so excited to work N6ZFO on 20M just minutes before the start that I
forgot I don't have much of a signal on that band. I was reminded the hard way,
picking up 1 QSO in the first five minutes(my opening CQ; thanks N9RV!). After
doing what I should have done after losing the first three toss ups on 20, the
contest picked up and accelerated for the next 25 minutes. 40M seemed a little
long from here, skipping over much of the midwest. I felt loud on 80M tonight
and probably should have shifted from 40M earlier. Given my stumble out of the
gate, I'm happy to have reached 30 QSOs. Every week I'm gaining more respect
for the quality of the ops in these Thursday night sprints and the strength of
the stations you've assembled. In addition to needing more practice, it's
definitely time for an antenna upgrade here, especially on 20M.
Thanks to everyone for the QSOs!
