Comments:
Was going to go to my uninsulated summer cabin and spend more time firing up the
furnace then doing QSO´s since my Amp needs a repair.
However me and my wife got invited to SM6XMY Tomas with YL to spend the weekend
so we decieded to give the contest a go in Multi class with my contest/vanity
call SG6T.
Since Tomas did not have any antenna for topband we built a similar antenna to
what I have in the summer QTH.
A ¼-wave 1,5mm² house wire with a SO-239 connector thrown some 15m over a
pine letting the rest slant away so I guess we can call it a slanting
inverted-L.
Radials was hooked on the ground of the SO-connector. Some 21 radials assorted
between 10, 20, 40 and 50m long.
We were going to use a Yaesu FT-2000D but could not get the rig-control to work
so we used a Yaesu FT-920 instead.
Yaesu Quadra amplifier.

Propagition was not very good, especially not NA and even worse to Asia. Never
worked or even heard JA or BY. A VU station was heard. Had hopes for A4 and A7
but never heard them.
Heard and worked a few stations in the West Indies but competition was big.
Did however get my #102 with HI.
My #101 was also worked within Europe in C3. So I am happy.
Comparing propagition with CQWW SSB, CQWW CW and CQ160 CW it was not good at
all. Very few W´s and VE´s in the log. Not even many of the usual super
stations were heard.
What really surprised is that not one single OH0 were heard or worked. There is
usually quite a few and easy to work from here.
EU 303 303 91.8

AF 3 3 0.9
NA 15 15 4.5
Most worked countries:
DL 23%
UR 6%
SP 5%
W only 2,72%
Some stations that I really tried hard to work but missed:
CM6RCR
FM5CD
FM5LD
HC2AQ
XE1RCS
My newly printed QSL´s came in today - so now the hard work begins.
Until next time........
