Last weekend proved that CQWW activity combined with kilowatts can override wave
propagation theory...
Despite SFI=68 it was a very enjoyable contest with good weather to repair some
antennas outside, juicy mults, occasional high rates and last not but least a
magnificent wild boar goulash prepared on open fire - all as they should be..
QRM on 20 and 40 was killing. However at times I experienced that contesters
can be gentlemen too.. n2nt, un7mmm, k0tv TNX! On the other hand OM Power is
obviously selling their vhp amps much faster than the 40m spectrum is being
extended.
Hats off to the 9A1P lidz. They must have been contesting in a parallel
universe with low-pathloss HF wormholes to NA. Congrats Dave & co!
