Comments:
A special TNX to fellow NCCC member Rick, N6XI, who loaned me a WinKey widget
that I finally got installed at the Locust Peak remote site to test out.
BINGO... that seems to have resolved all the runaway WPM keying problems I was
having!
Started off on 20m with only 2 local NCCCer Q's (N3ZZ & W0YK) but didn't hear a
peep out of anyone else.
QSY'd to 40m and was actually cooking along nicely until signals started
getting very 'watery' sounding and then it was all downhill. Apologies to K8MM
- we started a Q and then he went into my noise tank.
Couldn't break through the 'Seattle Round-Robin Wall' on 80m, and with only one
radio remote right now, no quick band changes either due to a rig control
problem with the logger and remote software for the TS-480 that remains
unsolved.
KL9A/W7 called me on 160 with a MONSTER signal. My suspicions are Chris was
not operating mobile :^)
W7WHY was conspicuously missing from my log. Maybe Tom went camping again?
Oddly, I didn't hear N6RO even once all night !!!
73 & Tnx for all the Q's & Mults...
Rick, K6VVA * The Locust
