Comments:
No special conditions this year. For the first time ever, I started the contest
on 40 meters. Also a first, there was a slight mist and rain during the second
hour that the mobile antenna really didn't like. In general the lower bands
were just too crowded to find room for a mobile SSB signal so I stayed on CW
for most of the weekend. It was strange to get half of our total number of SSB
QSOs in Glenn county at 08h. Enjoyed calls from a few EU and JA stations this
time showing that the power inverter noise was under control, at that moment.
Sunday afternoon Blaine, K0NE called in for the first of three contacts from
Nebraska for a real surprise. We used to contest together 25+ years ago.
This year I have K5LH and N4PN in the log 18 times for the most worked. With
WD5K scoring 16 times.
