Comments:
Not a very impressive effort due to long skip on 40 and a pretty high QRN level
on 75/80 which caused me to decide not to operate that long. The first 2 hours
were pretty much OK on 40, but phone activity just never materialized like in
past years. Then the skip zone lengthened out slowly until not much was left by
20Z. My QTH is about 200 miles from the Ohio River. At night on 80 the QRN was
punishing enough that the mobiles were sonetimes below the noise, but most
everone who called on phone was readable. A tuner problem limited me to about
400W on 80. Hopefully next year the SFI will be comfortably above the 65 or so
level it's been hovering around now for about a year. Thanks to the mobiles for
their effort, sorry I couldn't work you more often.
