Comments:
I thought originally I would get in just a couple of hours. I was pleased to
get 6 hours in!
Had a rough start. Powered things up and could not get the Micro Keyer to key
the FT-1000D. I messed around with that for an hour or more and finally
settled on connecting up the IC-7000 to the Micro Keyer and that worked fine.
Don't know what the issue is as a straight key works fine on the 1000D and the
IC-7000 worked fine on the Micro Keyer too. Gotta work on that.
Started on 15 meters and was pleased to hear some signals there. I spent to
much time there in the beginning but I was also getting used to the IC-7000
which I had not used in contest mode before. I had no doubt it would work fine
and it did. Not a bad rig for a standby!
Thanks for the QSO's and see you further down the log....
