Comments:
Huge thunderstorm stalled out over South Louisiana about 0200Z. With lots of
lightning all around, I thought I was going to be out of action tonight. But
about 0225Z things improved somewhat...the storm moved a bit. Still had high
static crashes throughout the first 25 minutes, but I fired up and jumped in.
@0 was very long again. Loud West coast guys, nothing else heard. Very weak
station from AZ (mult I needed) couldn't be copied through the statis.
Went to 40 and found things jumping. Once again, I got there too late. But that
band yielded a good rate and lots of mults (but missed Texas-where were you BB
and JAW?)Jumped on 80, not really expecting tomake many Qs due to the static.
But surprisingly, I managed 11 Qs and 8 mults.
One never knows where they'll come from. See you next week for practice and the
4 hour Sprint.
