KC9IDK and I operated for 12 hours, we ran two transmitters, had a 20m Yagi at
35ft, a full size 80m loop at about 40ft and a full size 40m vertical with four
radials for 40m and four radials for 15m. We operated next to a public lookout
tower at 10,109ft on the tip of Mt. Withington about 20 miles SE of the VLA in
New Mexico. We either used a 2000 watt generator or deep cycle battery for
power. The department of forestry lady who worked at the lookout tower visited
our station but I didn't get her name or a picture so I didn't check the public
official bonus box.
