SFI=69 Friday evening. Conditions weren't great. Had five continents pretty
quickly, but only managed to find 7X0RY for six early Sunday afternoon. Power
line noise on 20M was brutal on all US/VE bearings -- kept me calling to EU and
AS most of the time I was on 20M. Good openings both mornings to EU. Higher
power made for many more countries on 20M than previous years.
15M was almost totally dead, with only two stations heard. Worked Argentina and
Mexico, and nothing else.
40M was pretty good but suffered from one-way prop till late in Friday and
Saturday evening, when most had gone to 80M. Lots of signals crammed into
little space at the low end of 40M Sunday afternoon. CW above and below made it
tough to eke out a place.
Inverted-V on 80M is done for, so used the ground-mounted vertical for all Qs.
Not many. Big noise on the vertical.
Had fun and ready for more next time out.
