Comments:
I am still a freshman contester and as such am constantly surprised what you can
do with 100W and a simple antenna. I went out to the shack Friday night to get
ready for contesting a few short hours on Saturday in between family duties.
While checking the logging software and the antenna I started copying the
contest. I was not expecting to copy ANY 10M stations after dark in the low
cycle, but since they were there I decided to work them, and besides that I had
time to work them. Most of my contacts were between 0330Z and 0700Z on the first
night of the contest in total darkness! It was a real hoot to work 10M into MN
at 516Z. No great scores here but it's a start.
