Comments:
Mark and I had a lot of fun operating this year from my station in Tomball.
Mark worked mostly 40M CW and phone while I ran 20M phone. Few mobile stations
were received well enough to make a QSO, so we missed many bonus points (none
added in above score).
The antenna farm is under construction so we were limited to a vertical dipole
on 40 and a C-3 at 152 feet pointed due north. The C-3 is slightly damaged
courtesy hurricane Rita from last year, but still performed quite well. We ran
high power to the C-3 but barefoot to the 40M vertical.
The new Yaesu radios performed exceptionally well. I was impressed with the
mu-tune circuit which reduced QRM dramatically when used with the 3KHz roofing
filter. Also, at one point we got S9 interference from a piece of construction
equipment nearby and the noise blanker completely eliminated the noise.

(2) 87A (only one used)
40M vertical dipole (F12 Sigma-40XK)
Tribander (F12 C-3)
