Comments:
Murphy hit me hard during this years contest. Evidently, my antennas were too
close to one another, and both rigs got damaged from the RF: The left radio
lost all sensitivity on 80, and the right radio is deaf across the spectrum!
Had to drag the crusty old Ten Tec 540 out of the closet at about 2200z, just
to have something that still worked (more or less) on 80m! Of course, this rig
didn't interface to anything (station is set up for Icom rigs), so it had to be
hand keyed... sorry for my sloppy sending. I'm also suffering some threshold
shift in my left ear due to using stereo phones with the old rig without any
attenuator pad in line.
In spite of it all, it was a blast to operate TQP again this year. See you all
again next September!
