Thought I'd get on for the Thursday night NCCC sprint since Bill K0UK has been
urging GMCC members to give it a try - and, I do like the regular NA Sprints.
(Thanks Bill for sending out the reminder email on Wednesday).
My impression of the sprint is that seems like a lot happening in too short of
a time. I like the rules for repeat qsos with an intervening contact and for
mults to count on each band. I was quite busy with 20 and 40m bands and did
not have the time to even check the other two. As a newbie I shouldn't make a
suggestion after my first effort. However, it seems to me that it would be a
lot more interesting sprint if it was a hour or two long rather than only a
half hour. You just get up to the routine - and its over! But, then again, I
think the regular NA Sprint is too short at 4 hours.
It would be nice if the Writelog software for NA Sprint could have an
alternative for NCCC Sprint.
I missed the first 5 minutes fiddling with Writelogs NAQP logging instead of
the NA sprint. I'll be ready next time. Also, I had three clocks in the shack
that gave me three different times. I'll get those sychronized too...
