Part time effort as usual. The XYL's sister was in down (her yearly trip)
so I was "strongly encouraged" to limit my radio time. Since KE0L was my
primary competition, I helped him take down his tribander the week before
the contest. It wasn't enough to best his score though.
Having 10 meters open was fun. This contest I used my new multiband
vertical so it was great to jump form band to band with no tuning. Missed
out on 80m action. The coax that usually feeds my 80m wire is feeding my 6m
antenna this summer.
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer hamming. Time to buy your copper for
the fall antenna projects! (anyone else notice the price of copper these
days?) I can hardly wait for the marsh to freeze over so I can run my
beverage.
