Comments:
Oh yeah, I always think I can squeeze out a decent weekend in front of the
radio for the IARU, and then as the big day approaches...
This time, Mother Nature threw me a curve ball, as a big storm a few days
before the contest knocked down half of my antennas. Nothing for 160, nothing
for 40, one 20 meter antenna down and more.
So that made it pretty easy to decide that I should take the kid to the
playground, play golf, go for a family picnic, watch the Tour de France and
clean up branches in the yard instead.
Those of you who made a SSB contact with me, it was all by tape as usual,
with recorded voice files and Writelog.
Hope to get on for a little while in the August NAQP's, but then again
I might be playing golf during the day instead.
