Comments:
Wasn't able to put a full-time effort into this, but was glad that I did get on
for a while. As many others have stated, 6 meters was FB early Saturday
evening. Logging program says:
KA9FOX Max Rates:
2006-06-10 2315Z - 5.0 per minute (1 minute(s)), 300 per hour
2006-06-11 0016Z - 4.1 per minute (10 minute(s)), 246 per hour
2006-06-11 0037Z - 3.1 per minute (60 minute(s)), 183 per hour
And Best Run on a single frequency:
2006-06-10 2310Z - 0048Z 50191 kHz, 289 Qs, 176.9/hr
So, as you can see, while I was on for 13 hours, really a big majority of my
QSOs came during this one 1.5 hr run on 50.191. Most all the Qs were to the
New England & VE1/2/3 area.
Highlight of weekend was the 40 minute New England/VE3 opening on 2 meters,
around 2200-2240z. With BIG signals I worked into FN14, FN23, FN43, FN54 and
FN55. I suspect many missed this opening due to 6m being so hot.
EQUIPMENT:
ICOM IC-746 - 100 watts
6m: 6 element Cushcraft @ 105ft
2m: 13 element Cushcraft @ 110ft
Tower is 300ft away from house - antennas fed with 400ft 7/8" Hardline.

All the HF/VHF Antennas went up late last October and the VHF antennas haven't
had much use on till this weekend, so this was quite fun to put them to the
test!! Sure was a lot of fun! Thanks for all the Qs and memories!
