Comments:
The usual scramble . . landed at Oakland airport from Seattle at 1800; jumped on
BART; met by XYL at BART station just at train pulled in . . drove across San
Rafael bridge to Marin County, arriving at shack at 1925. Computer failed to
boot as usual. Logged entire contest by hand, learning on the fly to operate
paddles while holding a pen. The worst Q was with N3BB . . sorry Jim if I
robbed you a a QSO record. I will be in NY next week; Perhaps I'll try a CQ on
CQ-contest looking for a station somewhere in the area of Rochester NY south to
the PA border who wouldn't mind being invaded for half an hour late in the
evening. Alternatively, may take a rig and some wire, as brother-in-law has a
farm and would probably enjoy an antenna project.
