My final score:
759,054 points from 729 QSO = 1733 pts X 438 WPX all on 20m LP
I almost worked the allowed 36 hours (33.3 hours total), as the band
conditions seemed open the entire contest period! At least I worked most of
Europe, the U.S., Japan and a little Oceania. Lost in all of this was
Central America, South America and Africa - at least I didn't hear them in
Calgary. The band conditions seemed really strange as it didn't seem to
matter which direction I pointed my 3 el yagi. Quite often the signals were
as loud on my G5RV or Butternut Vertical. One minute I was talking to a
province next door, and the next minute (without changing the antenna) I was
talking to Finland or New Zealand. Anyway, this was my best contest result
to date, and hope to do even better next year - if I ever get the tower
raised from 40 to 60 feet and put up the TH6 in place of the TH3!
