Thanks Charlie for use of your call again...it works well!
Another WOW! If someone had said before the contest that I'd make more Q's
on 10 meters than 40 meters, I would have helped them over to the "Funny
Farm."
Can't ever remember a contest which included 160m, when I didn't make at least
one contact but the QRN was impossible here. 80m wasn't a whole lot better
so that forced me to check out other bands...went back to 15 late Saturday
night
and in just a few minutes worked VR2BG, YE6P, YE1ZAT, HL5UOG, HS0AC, BD1WC,
VI9NI, 9M2TO, 9V1YC, YC3MM, VK6DU and many JA's and other new mults.
Less mults than last year when used WY4N (789/772) but more Q's (2226/2068)
this year mainly due to great (NO UNBELIEVABLE) condx on 10. Kept going back
to 10 and it was open to somewhere all day Sunday.
Didn't work another NF4, so could run pretty well even with just a tribander.
Thanks for all the Q's -it was a fun 36 hours...sure hated to get up and leave
a good pile-up for that 12 hours of off time...
RIG: FT1000MP/Titan 425 amp
ANT: TH-5 @ 70'
Alpha-Delta 40/80 at 65'
Inverted Vee for 160 (no use this year)
