Like it or not, in this contest getting into the top ten on low power CW is all
about running. With no Europeans or JA's on 10 and precious few on 15, that is a
real challenge from Texas. However, my new 40 meter yagi paid off. I was able to
run a few Europeans on 40 ? a first for me! JA runs on 40 just aren?t what they
used to be though. Some nice European runs on 20 Sunday. Fifteen was a
disappointment though with no real European runs and only a dribble of JA?s.
Had some good mults respond to CQs. Among them: S9SS and 9M6/G3OOK on 40, HS0AC
on 20, 3B8/F6EPY, A35RK, and 9M6/G3OOK on 15.
Score up by 235K over last year ? hopefully enough to make the top ten. Congrats
to N1UR on another great LP score despite his Murphy problems.
