Comments:
I was scheduled to be out of the country on a business trip but when that was
canceled, I decided to put in an effort from our club station. As someone else
mentioned, there were plenty of surprises this weekend. Conditions were pretty
good on Saturday. When things died down at 10:30 PM, I decided I either needed
to head home or if I hung around and the band opened again, which I understand
it did, I was going to be spending the night. I didn?t have any supplies with
me so I left. Sunday was pretty slow but the late afternoon opening to
Scandinavia was really neat! It took a couple of tries to get OH6NIO?s call
when the opening began as I was beaming west. Prior to that, I worked one EA5
on CW and that was the extent of Europe. I was surprised with the lack of props
to New England. That?s usually a given from here.
