Comments:
Did expect far worse condx. Was a nice surpise to the band in good shape! Even
snuck in a few EU mults..CU2, several EA, several EA8 ( OK, Africa), and a F6.
Been doing this contest at WE9A since about 1992, seem to learn more about this
band every year. Started each morning with scatter pointed south, then followed
the openings. Saturday had a tremendous opening to WA & OR at 1800z, think I
worked every active ham in those states, & then a wonderful E opening to the
east coast. Sunday lacked the east coast E's, but I did pick up several mults
out west on Sunday. Missed WAS this weekend by just KL7, OK, & UT. Not too bad
for 10 at the bottom of the cycle!
