Comments:
Faced with S9 noise (rather artificial in sound) on the low 160m dipole, I spun
the dial on the Six Pak and discovered to my surprise that the Force 12 Mag240N
40m beam at about 80' did a very credible job as a 160m receive antenna! In
fact, it heard some stations that I couldn't work with the dipole. Readable
stations ranged from S0 to S9+40 on a seemingly very quiet band. Put in about 8
hours between other commitments. Hearing no Europeans and only one JA was
disappointing. This is only my second year with a 160m antenna and I still have
a lot to learn.
