Comments:
Last year 533 QSO's in 87 countries on 10m. A little different this year! I
managed to stretch my operating time from 28 to 36 hours this year and got more
LF work in. No beverages back up yet. This makes me virtually deaf for DX on 160
and 80m and hard of hearing on 40! Despite using only my 40m dipole on 15m it
was still the most productive band!. With these handy excuses my strategy was to
work as many W's as practical rather than push the multiplier. About one third
of the QSO's were W's. Almost half of the QSO's were Europeans. All in all I'm
satisfied with the results with the score a little higher than last year but
can't wait for the CW contest and get away from the sideband splatter. 20m was
particularly rough and it was easy to ignore it in favour of any other band!
I saw the power of Packet on 15m this Sunday. Calling CQ on 21.363 I had 23 Q's
in 17 min before 2100z. My next QSO told me I had been spotted at 2100z. In the
next 14 min. I had 51 Q's! Thanks to all those W QSO's, guys!
