Comments:
THE FLYING IGUANA CONTEST CLUB DEDICATES THIS EFFORT TO KE9I's FATHER WHO
RECENTLY BECAME A SILENT KEY. REST IN PEACE LEO N9QX.
OPS: P40QX (KE9I), P40GY (K9GY), P40C (AJ9C).
NO PACKET (PHONE COSTS TO HIGH) AND LOW POWER. AFTER 40M CLOSED TO EU THEN HAD
TO WAIT FOR 20M TO OPEN WHICH RESULTED IN MOST OF OUR OFF TIME. ALSO THE 13/14Z
HOURS WERE VERY SLOW.
IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CONTEST WE FIGURED OUT THAT P40WAE OR P40EU WOULD HAVE
BEEN CONTEST CALLS FOR WAE. ALTHOUGH P40EU PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN CONFUSED
WITH P40V?
EQUIP: (2) FT-897, MONOBANDERS FOR 20-10M, SINGLE ELEMENT 40M DIPOLE, VERTICAL
FOR 80M. FOR THE SECOND EVENING KE9I STRUNG OUT A BEVERAGE FOR THE LOW BANDS
WHICH GREATLY REDUCED THE NOISE.
QSL P40QX VIA KE9I.
BACK TO THE BEACHES :-)
