Worked the contest part-time, while taking many breaks for weekend chores,
shopping, etc.
As is the case with many state QSO parties, the mobiles made the activity. Out
of the 51 QSOs I managed to make time for, 27 of them were mobiles! Great
efforts by AA4S, AD8J, NY4N, and W8OP.
20m signals were fantastic into south-east Michigan throughout the day and into
the evening. I was also surprised by the strong mobile signals on 40m and 80m.
Conditions were quiet, overall, without much summertime QRN. In retrospect, I
wish I had spent more time in the chair.
Thanks to K8MR for the helpful NA files.
See you in Ohio QSO Party - August 27 - noon to midnight (EDT)
