Really enjoyed this one: no major problem with software this time, and I
think I got close from the maximum I could expect from my small domestic
station (wish I had a 40m beam!).
Based on last year results, my optimistic objective was 2000pts and 250mults
for a total of 500k. Well...not too far away...
Conditions, though far from being excellent, have been better than last year.
Logicaly I focused on 40m (50% of the points), and as planned, went to bed when
the band started to decline, after sunrise - at this point, with 1500 points
collected on 40 and 80 the contest was almost over!
15m remained quite poor to states, and k4gmh often the only NA station visible
on the spectrum display. Curiously did not hear VE1,2,3 and 9 but worked
VE6YR.
20 and 40 were overloaded, and finding a clear frequency almost impossible on
sunday.
Good activity from EA; many provinces are still not represented, but the
activity is growing. Thanks to URE for organizing this nice event.
Thanks all for the QSO's, and see you in the next one !
Patrick
