Comments:
Flew my 1/4 wave balloon supported vertical off my old sailboat again and it
worked just fine. I do need to do something about a better receive antenna
situation before the next 160 contest season though. I've been researching
various loops etc. and testing will soon be underway.
I put in limited time due to fighting off the flue bug. I had to stop and sleep
at 0300 local time the first night. I slept all day on Saturday thinking I could
get all the way through the second night but it was not to be. I woke up at 0430
after falling asleep at the rig. Since my last previous log entry was around
0130 local time that means I missed three good hours the second night as well.
Fortunately, I didn't crash and burn with my head or hand on the keyer or
keyboard. Decided at that point my body was trying to tell me something and
maybe I should listen for a change since now I was feverish as well. Missed both
sunrises so no chance of anything towards Asia.
Still had a lot of fun and I?m already looking forward to the next one.
