Comments:
Due to the Rovermobile being disabled, I erected a 10' top tower section
anchored to fences and a picnic table frozen to the ground in -23C/-8F wx on
Friday. Then put an already cabled AR40 on top followed by a 4 elmt VE3BFM beam
for 6 at 16' and a 12 elmt K1FO for 2 at 12'. Never noticed the cold either.
Band condx were both terrible and challenging at the same time. Had a brief
opening to FL from 0123Z Monday to 0202Z and worked 6 in 4 grids there for a
surprise. Furthest east was W1JJ in FN41, south K9HUY EL86, s-w K4YNT cw, and
west N8CJK EN84 cw. Had lots of fun. Thanks to all who stuck it out.
73,
Bill VE3CRU
