Comments:
Part-Time & QTH/antenna not conducive to many East of the Missippi
QSOs. Mr. Murphy visited with an intermittent short in my coax
feedline which occurred during several exchanges. I had to go
outside and shake the coax. My apologies to NT6K, KU7Z and some
others that had to QRX while I ran outside and back right in
midst of our contest exchanges. So now you know why I simply
disappeared temporarily! Also heard several loud bangs but
had no clue what they were until I QSY'd and went to adjust the
tuner. The inductor roller knob was frozen. Strange this
would happen with only 500w. I resorted to 100w operation for a
while until I realized I had another tuner to use. Duh! And
then there were the constant battles with frequently triggering
the alarm system and the associated chaos.
