Comments:

Congratulations to K9DX for a great score.

Camped out on 1817 for approximately 8 straight hours at the beginning of the
contest and averaged over 100 per hour during that time.

In total worked 30+ JA stations, quite a few Europeans, couple of UA0's, and
VK6. BIGGEST surprise and thrill was when I first typed in AB1AJ and then heard
him correct me on his call! :-) Missed KP4, VY1, and KL7. It was nice to be
competitive to the DX stations from Arkansas with a simple shunt fed tower.

I found out that the IC-765 I was using would not hold up to the strong signals.
Anyone have any modification suggestions? Had to use an attenuator even
listening on beverages and could not use the transmit antenna at all for
receive. After the first night I swtiched to an Omni 6+ and it was a much
better situation. Hopefully I was not an alligator and copied most of the ones
who called.

Couldn't stay asleep on Saturday (2.5 hours)and as a result had to take a nap
during the second night in order to make it.
