Comments:
Nice to have lots of K,W present. The high bands were poor most of Saturday and
Sunday, although better that the number of stations actually using them. I
worked all sections except Nunavut (never pointed the antenna due north). Lots
of RAC stations active, but where was VE2RAC? Best dx were 3V8 and VK4, but
missed ZL1.
Best times were the first 5 hours and surprisingly, the last hour. 10M was open
short on Sunday morning and 15M was open long to South America Sunday afternoon.
40M was the choice Saturday night and 20M on Sunday. I didn't spend enough time
on 6M and 2M to know how they went. I was hoping to work VO1AA after using the
station four weeks ago, but found lots of other VO1 (no VO2 were heard).
Tnx to all who put up with my fingers slipping around on the cw key (room@34 C).
This was the first contest I ran on cw for extended periods. Yuri: you were
only 40 over at best-where was Lali?
Equipment:
MarkV (HF), FT100 (6/2), MQ26@40ft. (10/15/20), DXLB+ (40/80/160), HF6V (80CW)
