Activated 13 counties: All 5 in R.I. New London and Windham CT and in
Massachussetts ; Bristol, Norfolk,Middlesex, Plymouth, Worcester and
with 3 hrs to go, decided to go to Barnstable.
Things started slow, but the temperature was high.
Sunday was more enjoyable despite the rainy WX.
Had a second antenna mount but few were worked on 40/15.
Single-Op plus driver would be cool !
Made about 75 QSOs while in motion. There were about 3 hrs of driving
without QSOs , either too tired or too busy.
Tried to stop at locations with a negative horizon.
How did my mobile signal compare to the other mobiles? NEQP or CH
Had trouble working the home stations. Never worked K1TTT & NT1Y.
Was able to work KI1G and NB1B when in an adjacent or same county.
K1KI's SO mobile record of 22 cnty / 1058 QSOs might not be beaten
this year with low sunspots and a rainy Sunday.
Note: The life expectancy of a hamstick on a single 5" mag-mount is 22 hrs.
300+ miles
1.2 tanks of gas
One 15M hamstick
One fuse
