Station:
IC-756 Pro, IC-PW1 400W output
Force 12 C3-S at 12m, 40m inverted V at 12m
Highlights:
1. Despite the high A and K numbers working into the mid-US
2. Working 8P6SH, a difficult one from here behind the wall of NA callers
3. Being called by some of RTTY regulars including GU0SUP and AA5AU
Lowlights:
1. QRM. I lost track of the number of times I had to move frequency through
adjacent signal QRM despite all the filtering on the 756 Pro
2. 10m. Just didn't quite open up.
3. Having to go home two hours before the end of the contest when Eu signals
were picking up.
I am still learning with RTTY contesting but enjoying it! I used N1MM and MMTTY
which both worked FB during the weekend.
Next contest - WPX RTTY. I was able to get approval from my YL for playing radio
on Valentines day :-)
