Comments:
Bands were pleasantly good/great and even 10m was far better than expected. Low
noise and good east west propagation made for lots of VE3 and east signsl on 80
and 40. Ran 7 HF/6m operating positions with 1 full time CW station. One radio
failure reduced that to 6 about half way thru and made for lots of scrambling to
reroute things.
Equipment (well at the start anyway...)
160m High sloping dipole at 110'/160', 756Pro and PW-1
80m 4 ele yagi at 150' 756ProII and Henry 5K
40m log periodic, 3 ele yagi at 120' FT1000mp/L4B
20m 6/5/5 stack, 756ProII / Homebrew 8877
15 m 6/6/6/6 stack FT1000mp / Alpha 77DX
10m 7/7/7/7 stack IC756Pro / AL-1200
CW station:FT-1000D/Alpha 87a
20CW: 6 el yagi at 100' (remote 1700 feet away
15CW: 6 el yagi at 110' (remote 1200 feet away)
plus dipoles for 80 and 40, all 1700 feet away.
Good turnout of operators and visitors along with the good conditions really
made it a fun event.
All the best in 2004.
