Comments:
Very poor DX conditions especially to Europe. Only worked a few Europeans and
then mostly with the antenna pointed southeast. These stations could not be
heard from the usual 50 degree direction. A few good openings though to Africa
and New Zealand but none to Australia or Japan and very good conditions to the
Caribbean and South America.
On Sunday morning I heard from my neighbour that I was causing TVI, probably not
helped by the snow falling at the time. So I had to back off to about 20 watts
but even so managed to work ZS1EL and a few hours later ZL1BYZ and ZL6QH. Echos
of last year when I worked QRP for the contest. This year with low power I did
not come even close to last year's score. Signs of things to come.
