Comments:
Not quite what was intended. Had planned a S/P country chasing weekend but
thanks to the first real winter wind storm plans modified. Lost two of my 80m
antennas (tops only) from the 4-sq Saturday evening after dark. So quit and
spent Sunday am tidying up the mess. Nice to find 10/15 wide open but 20 went
Auroral from 16z as did 40m later. At 14z Sunday fog dropped and put S8-9 hash
on 80/160 so appologies for those I could not hear despite the efforts of my new
Timewave 599zx box. Next job find the source of the noise we have lots of
overhead 11/33Kv feeder lines being in a rural area.
Highlite hearing HC8N (579)on 160m running USA at around 03Z.
Falling asleep after 5-hrs had to be the most stupid thing and waking at 0730z
sunrise Saturday am after the peak on 160m.
USA East Coast very strong on 80m (1-vertical) up to 2-hrs after S/R Sunday.
and up to 12z on 40m.
