Comments:
Conditions were simply amazing this weekend which was totally unexpected after
the solar activity of recent weeks. It was tough to decide which band to work as
they all seemed to be very good no matter when you made the choice to change
bands. There was virtually no noise here except on 80m which probably had a lot
more to do with my antenna than the band.
I operated the entire weekend search and pounce and rarely felt I was missing
out by not running. I'm sure my score would have been significantly better
though had I ran much of the time as I did in the phone contest. But that's
easier said than done for this operator. Probably this will be remembered as
one of the great contests as least from this perspective.
