Comments:
I wanted to do all bands in a serious effort, but could not get everything
straightened out in time. So, I decided to do a serious on 40. Friday night
was pretty decent and by 1200 Z I wound up with 385/27/90. After catching some
sleep during Saturday I was ready to tackle 40 Saturday night. Wow, was it
slow! In the period from 0200- 0330 I made a grand total of 8 QSOs. This
should have been peak time since on Friday night at the same time I made about
80 QSOs. No matter how many times I cruised the band from 7000 to 7100 the same
people were CQing. And no matter how many times I transmitted CQs from a clear
frequency around 7200, I got no answers. BOOORRRIINNGGG!!!!!!!
So at 0330Z I pulled the plug and said the hell with it. I never turned the rig
back on. What I had at 0330Z Saturday is what my final score was. I'd like to
hear how the multi/multis found the band after that time.
Friday night JAs were strong but limited in number. The band was really good
with JT1 heard pretty strong and working BY very easily.
Next year........all bands!
