Wow...this was HARD WORK! not your normal ssb sprint! Even with Mr. Alpha
running and smiling, it seemed like I was running low power... lots of
holes on the bands, skads of unanswered CQs, and S1-S2 signals answering, when
they DID call....but STILL THE BEST CONTEST OF THEM ALL...regardless of mode.
Hard to believe how exhausting, and yet so exhilarating to do the sprint full
bore....every second counts! not like a 48 hr contest, where you can actually
take the occaisonal break.. this is truly a 100 yard dash! and if you slip in
the blocks, or mistep anywhere on the course, it's over. Thanks once again to
Tom K7RI for his city lot antenna farm (2 KT36XA and 2 el 40). As usual, done on
paper with pencil, not wanting to take a chance at a screwup in my typing or
having to go back and correct on the run. SO1R. 3 band changes. SEE YOU ALL IN
FEBRUARY..
