Comments:
Condx were bad for us. Most of the time the mobiles were ESP
and we couldn't work them. I suspect some of the unreadable
signals that I heard answering my CQ's were mobiles. We also
had a ton of problems. RF was keying my rig through the CW
interface cable and I had to switch to a keyer. Luckily I could do
the CQ's from the memory in the rig. We also had RF QRM
between the three stations. My headset broke and I had to
switch to a desk mic and key the rig with the transmit button
on the rig. One of the amps blew a filter cap. And the NA
network that worked FB at home, didn't work in Jefferson Cty.
I guess we were lucky to make the Q's that we did! I've never
had that much trouble all at once. I think I'll leave the M/M
stuff to the "Bigger Guns".
