Comments:
The mults were'nt really 50/50, but the total between both modes was 100. With
WPX CW, DAYON, and tons of antenna work coming up, I didn't plan on getting on
for any of the Spring stateside QSO parties regardless of the ton of fun I had
last year. I rained most of Saturday, so I jumped on the bands during breaks
from inside chores. Sunday was beautiful, but I got on at the start in the
morning, got sucked into chasing the mobiles for mults and spent the majority of
the day in the shack. Had two counties to go for a sweep and NF4A was heading
for both. Worked him in one, but he passed through another county on his way to
the last one I needed. Worked him in that county and watched his signal drop
into the noise. Tried swinging the beam in different directions for scatter, but
nada. I figured that was the end. Went back to chasing the mobiles as they
entered new counties. All of a sudden theres a weak signal from NF4A on cw. He
came right back with the exchange for my final county.
As was the case last year, there were a number of super sharp mobiles out there.
Great job by them and the sponsors in organizing the event.
