Comments:
Conditions were certainly lousy. Made 3 European QSOs on 10M- all long path. I
never heard a short path European this contest. Thanks to T99W, SO9W, and HA7UG
that somehow found me while I was running South America on 10M. JAs on 15M?
Never heard a one. Made a grand total of 11 JA QSOs (all on 20M), against over
300 last year.
You know conditions are weird when 15M opens to SP/UA at 1100Z with loud
signals, then another European isn't heard on 15M until after 1500Z. You know
conditions are weird when KL7RA is S9+20dB on 15M- at 7:30AM local time!
It took me a good part of the first day to figure out that this wasn't going to
be a DX WPX contest- it was going to be a Sweepstakes WPX! It was also nice to
see more low band activity than WPX usually provides.
See you all again next year!
