Comments:
Operated from my son's house who recently moved to Bermuda. Used a little
Diamond brand vertical on the chimney and a last minute jury rig crooked wire
about 140 ft long loaded against ground. Used my grand daughters plastic toys to
keep the wire off the roof. Used the wire on 160 and 80. I would be interested
in comments on my signal strength. E mail to k9cc@msn.com.The europeans are
amazingly loud here. Including the ones who tried to work me during the contest.
Interesting that a little vertical in VP9 can keep a frequency clear. The pileup
drives the cqers away. I had a blast, still had pileups at times right to the
end of the contest. Without VP9/W6PH working over 3000 Q's the pileups probably
would have been heavier.
